Just click Reply below the post you are replying to, and write your new reply, as a post in the same topic. That way, the discussion stays organized in the same topic.
Quit iTunes, if it's currently running. Does the iPod appear on your computer, as a USB device? If you see it, Eject it from there. If the Do not disconnect message on the iPod's screen goes away, disconnect it. If that's not possible (or the message remains), shut down the computer. After the computer is powered off, disconnect the iPod.
If the iPod is unresponsive, do a Reset (restart) on the iPod
