Subject says it all I think. I have 100gbs of music and only ~74 that will fit on the iPod, I'd love to not have to re-check and uncheck all the songs I do and don't want
Not sure what you mean by "re-check and uncheck".
Connect your device to iTunes, then select All Music to be synced.
If you want more gradual control, then you should have your music organized in plain and smart playlists and select the ones you want to sync in iTunes.

I only have around 70gb available on the older iPod. If i sync them won't that just try to load the massive list of checked songs onto the iPod? I was hoping to be able to just export the library somehow.

BTW, when you say you want to sync the entire iTunes Library, that means you want absolutely everything that's in iTunes to be on your iPod.
If that's what you want, then iTunes will sync everything that is in iTunes, but is not on the iPod. It will not duplicate what is already on the iPod.
guess I should be more clear. I have it set to where only "checked" songs sync with the ipod
As I explained, there are better ways of of syncing only what you want, than using the checked/unchecked flag.
I had to reload all my music in iTunes...is there a way to export the library list from my iPod 5th gen so i don't have to re-check everything?
