Q: Mac Mini drops wifi connection upon restarts

Every time I restart my computer, I lose my WiFi connection.

My computer cannot automatically pickup the WiFi connection from my airport base station.

I have to manually choose my connection from the list I am given.

My computer never drops the connection unless I restart or awake from a long sleep period.

AppleCare said it may have to do with a bug in the latest El Capitan update (10.11.4) which I have.

Any solutions or similar experiences?

Thank you.

    Might be corrupted network preferences.

Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder

Type or copy paste the following:

    /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration

Click Go then move all the files in the SystemConfiguration folder to the Trash.

Restart your Mac. See if that makes a difference.

Your Mac will generate a new SystemConfiguration folder for you.
