If I understand correctly, there's an issue charging your MacBook and you're concerned that the issue is caused by the cable. Try taking a look at the article linked bellow and running through the troubleshooting tips that it provides.

May 8, 2016 7:44 AM in response to Zorzoli22by Lanny,Make an appointment with the Genius Bar. Your USB-C cable may be defective. At one point, Apple shipped MacBook owners replacement cables for that very reason.
Since you didn't provide any info on when, where. or from whom you purchased your MacBook, the timing of that event and its relevance to your situation is unknown.
If it's under warranty, take it to an authorised Apple repair location.
