Q: Help with Quicktime player

When I use Quick time player to record the screen and I do the whole screen it works fine, but when I import it into iMovie to edit it cuts off the bottom Dock area and the top Apple menu bar area. I was thinking this might be for copyright reasons but I seen youtube videos that display the whole entire display, so does anyone know what I can do it display it all?

In iMovie 10.1.2, after importing your screen recording clip, go to the toolbar in the upper right side of your screen and click on the crop button that looks a

little bit like a tic-tac-toe graphic.  After you click on it you will see, just below and to the left of the button,  options to Fit, Crop to Fill, and Ken Burns.  Click on Fit, and you're good to go.
