Q: getting contacts from iPad to mac

Sync your iPad to your Mac.

Click : "Info" under "Settings" on the left side.

You can also sync them using iCloud if you want. Settings/iCloud - sign in with your Apple ID and turn Contacts syncing on. On the computer, go to System Preferences/iCloud, sign in, and check contacts syncing.
