how to start up Mac Pro 13" mid 2010? installed new memory and it will not power-up. store said I bought right memory, but will not power on with power button. help?
If you purchased it at an Apple store and its the wrong memory - be upset as they should know what to sell you.
If you purchased it at a chain that sells some apple devices - by contract they may be prevented from selling aftermarket parts that are configured for apple -but will not charge a restocking fee if they don't work.
Purchased a WD drive configured for windows with the assurance that if it would not reconfigure for mac I could bring it back - of course with WD no problem -- on a video card - correct card - did not have apple firmware (thats how I found out about the contract deal) - but when it did not work - no restocking fee - happy days.
Very sad that Apple has to be this way.
