The "Not Supported" message is completely expected.
What were you wanting to accomplish by pairing them?

iPhone's can by synced to a Mac using iTunes or iCloud via Wi-Fi.

If your Mac supports it, you can use AirDrop with your iPhone to transfer files between them.

Other than that, the physical USB connection will let you transfer files between the iPhone and your computer using iTunes File Sharing
