Q: Local and iCloud Library

With Photos on OS X, if I am to use the iCloud library, is this mirrored in the local library?

There is a local library (in the same fashion that iPhotos used to do), and what I am wondering is if I am using iCloud Library, are the photos that are added from my various iDevices added to the local library as well?

Yes - if you use ICPL all devices using it will be synced and have identical libraries - any change (addition, deletion or edit) made on any device is made on all devices - that it the total purpose of ICPL

Each device is set to download all of the originals or to have optimized copies

Thanks Larry,

I thought that is how it worked. Just was not sure if the library was local or just reading the library (and photos) from the cloud.
