Q: Health data on iOS - how to enter or view via OSX without going into the app?

As per the subject - is there a way to view and update the Health data back into IOS from your OSX so you do not need to use the iPhone?

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013), OS X El Capitan (10.11.3)

You cannot view Health data outside of iOS. In fact, medical information is considered so personal that your device stores it in a special, segregated portion of the processor, so it can't be accessed without permission.

If the data you want to see was collected by a third-party app, say a heart rate meter, that app, in addition to sharing the gathered info with Health app, might also make the info accessible from within the app, or the related web portal.
