I want to sign in on my android phone?

This stinks, I followed the instructions by entering my password followed immediately by the apple generated 6 diget code, ,,,,,,doesn't work on my android. Thinking about ditching my apple account.

This process asks for my CC details. I will NOT provide my CC details for anything other than buying securely NOT as part of a security process as it is a security risk! what is wrong with having to have given to 3 security questions earlier?

Any answer to this question? I am switching to Android, but want to keep my icloud email. I have access to ipad and macbook for now (but will be replacing those as well), but those will be at home, while my Android phone is with me at all times.

Guess I have to set up a forwarding on the email to gmail as well. Apple makes it hard to leave their products but in the process makes the decision much easier.

It sounds like you have two-factor authentication enabled for your Apple ID. This is an added security feature for Apple ID, which is a good thing. To use this kind of Apple ID with Apple Music on Android, you need to first generate a verification code on another device of yours like a Mac or iPhone or iPad. This verification is a six-digit number.

Once you generate this six-digit number you type it in immediately following your password on your Android device.

Example

Let's say your Apple ID was JennyAppleseed@icloudy.com. You'd enter this into your Android device as your Apple ID.

In the password field, you need to enter your password + the six digit verification code. So let's say your password was 384HappyApple and the verification code was 383887, you would type in 384HappyApple383887 into the password field.

It works but is pretty troublesome way... not intuitive at all.
