Using Instagram layout photo program. Does not work on iPad but works on iPhone any ideas?

I am having the same problem as thekents470. Layout goes into Photo Booth and I can't select any of my pictures. Has anyone figured out a way to fix this?

Layout previously worked just fine on my iPad, and now the photo booth is not working. The thumbnails do not show up, but if I blindly click in the photo booth area, I can select pictures. I just can't see them as I am selecting them. I have not been able to track down a way to notify the Layout developers.

Well it does day it's an iPhone only app so that may have something to do with it. I just installed it on my iPad and yeah, it didn't want to go to the other photo areas. I'm thinking it's a glitch in the app.

You can leave them a review - or check the reviews and see if others are having the same issue.

Beyond that Layout needs to fix their app.

Then again, it does say iPhone only so it's Possible that it's coded only for iPhones or iPods (it does seem to work on my touch)

I Have the same problem that the thumbnails in Layout for Instagram are blacked out but I I tap the screen randomly it selects them for a montage. Obviously I can't choose the photos I want this way.

I've rebooted; reloaded the app etc etc but nothing changes. I can upload to Instagram in the ordinary way through the basic Instagram app but the Layout for Instagram only gets blacked out thumbnails.

Not a lot of use and as far as I can see nobody has an answer

The only answer we can give is that Instagram needs to code their app to be universal - to run on iPads and iPhones. Or users search for another photo montage app to make their multi photo posts with to then post to Instagram that work on iPads

Iphones and iPads may seem to run exactly the same software but they don't. They are a bit different, which is why apps can run differently.

I've read this thread as its just happened to me after updating my OS on iPad, I'd been using Layout on my iPad with Instagram for a couple of years with no issues so the idea that it's not supported on iPad can't be the case! Now I can't use it all and nobody knows why, I see these posts go back several months so wonder if there is any further info on fixing this?

What is the name of the app you're asking about? I looked in the App Store for iPhone and iPad and didn't see a "layout app" by Instagram.
