Q: Installing Xsan 1.4 without an installation CD

Since install 1.1 and upgrading to 1.4 on a xeon xserve causes major problems, is there a feasible way to get xsan running without a 1.4 installer CD (since I haven't been able to find any place on apple's site to download anything except updaters)?

(2) dual 2.5 g5, Mac OS X (10.4.2)

Update: found a CD image on the developer site for build 8M170.. worked well.

The only way to get a 1.4 CD image is via developer.apple.com
You may need to have specific access to get to it.

assuming that you're adding nodes and not just replacing them, the new xsan retail boxes should contain 1.4. otherwise download a copy from developer.apple.com
