Can you control volume with bluetooth headphones and the new Apple tv?

Hello community!

I have a new Apple TV, and I am trying to watch tv shows and movies but the only way I can do it is at night. I don't want to bother my family, so I was wondering if I can watch with bluetooth headphones and control the volume. What I mean is if I can have a very low volume on the tv but a higher volume on my headphones. I can do that with my PS4, but I have most of my movies in iTunes.

You can't have audio output to tv and the headphones at the same time if that's what you're asking. However, you will be able to control the headphone volume using the Siri remote.

IF I understand your answer, once I connect the wireless headphones to the Apple TV, there is no sound coming out of the tv? If that is the case, then it is what I want, to be able to hear through the headphones but not bother my family with the sound of the tv. Correct me if I am getting wrong, please.

That is correct, once connected you will only hear sound through the Bluetooth headphones. You will also be able to control the headphone volume using the Siri remote.

No problem. I recommend investing in a good set with comfort and decent sound quality in mind, especially if you'll be using them a lot.
