Hacked? Malware? Virus? HELP!

Ok, so i have an Iphone 6 for a while now and everything is fine until a few days ago my phone began to act weird... It plays app's ad sound. I've been hearing "Mobile Strike" ad sound randomly and it is freaking me out (especially middle of the night!!!!) Even with the screen shut and no apps opened it will play all sort of app's ad sound. Also when the sound is playing the phone freezes and does not responds after the music ends. The phone will then restart itself the the cycle repeats! This happens randomly and sometime very frequently... There are no image, just sound... also no voice, just the music about 5~10sec.

I am on IOS 8.1.2 and i will be updating to the latest version... it is just too scary and i hope this fix it....

iPhone 6, iOS 8.1.2, jailbreak

thats nice. i kept getting mobile strike ads right after. Removed it and haven't had a problems in over a week. Clearly it was that for me. Also I removed several other apps that I had no use. Definitely adware

My point being is usually not that simple. Did the problem return if you reinstalled the lyft app? That would be the only way to test if it was that app, one of the others you removed or something completely different.

Yes, the problem returned. I did it after reading this message earlier this morning and was interrupted during a meeting due to this app. Im not an idiot. I definitely tested others out as well.

Who said you were an idiot?

Again, generalizing from one data point is not always the way to go. In this case, it's far more likely that the problem was related to the jailbreak.

who said I'm jailbroken? Maybe for the OP they maybe. But not for me. Never said you called me an idiot. You were insinuating my incompetence. And this is a discussion board where people with problems come on relate. I had the exact same issue and i fixed it and worked..... Now I'm wasting time with your comments. this the exact reason I don't add input for trolls like yourself

She was referring to the Original Poster (OP) who mentioned it and said his problem was more related to his jailbreak. Of the 5 people I'm currently with who have the Lyfft app none of us have that issue. It is possible an ad link on their site that has since been removed caused yours but their doesn't appear to be any malware in the app.
