Slow login using mobile accounts with Filavault enabled

Hi,

in our company we are experiencing slow login times in many mac.

Our users are using windows domain users (mobile accounts) and we have Filevault enabled in our mac.

I read here that these two settings together may cause delay during the login: Lion Server: Mobile user startup is delayed if FileVault 2 is enabled - Apple Support

I found here a solution for this problem: https://jamfnation.jamfsoftware.com/discussion.html?id=6025

I tested it and seems working fine, but I would like to receive an official communication from Apple that we can use this configuration to solve that problem.

I would also hear if someone in the community is using this configuration and with which results.

Thank you for your help.

I am not sure if you ever got an answer for this issue but if your company's computer setup with FileVault, unfortunately you have to leave it it. I finally did some testing by turning off the FileVault and the I was able to login to domain account without delay (< 5 secs). When I turned the FileVault back, it went back to delay mode. I think it has something to do with decrypting the hard drive after you login depending how much files stored in your hard drive. If they don't shut down their computer and just logoff it goes directly to the desktop but once they re-start their computer then it takes time to go to the desktop.
