How to connect my Macbook to a printer by wireless

I have just purchased a MacBook Pro and find i cannot connect to my Canon MG5250 wirelessly both machines are connected to the wireless router and the printer work with other laptops by wireless. what do I need to do. I can print ok by connecting with a cable the macbook reads the printer this way ok.
