Q: I can't recieve messages through wifi?

Hello, I have an iPhone 6, the latest iOS to date, I have gotten it refurbished once (just to mention it) and actually, I don't really know when it started doing this. I usually leave my phone on throughout the night because of the alarm but I do put it on Airplane mode and in the morning when I wake up, I'll put back my Wi-Fi and check all my SNS. Now, this has been going on for a while, the whole Airplane Mode to Wi-Fi because I'm usually at home most of the time.

And this is where it gets a bit weird. (My placement is Korea if this can add to anything) I get all my messages come through like my payment messages, my cellular data messages from the carrier, I get those machine sent message through well, messages. And I was suppose to get an important message on a certain date but didn't get any message so I was just thinking to myself hey, what happened? That happened, and a few days went by and I had to go outside for a bit and I took my phone with me. I don't usually roam for Wi-Fi outside so I turn off my Wi-Fi and turn on my cellular data and bam. Literally, my messages from the internet shopping, my carrier messages, my cancellation messages, and yes, the important message I was waiting for days, all the messages came through all at the same time when I turned on my cellular data. The messages were sent on their each different dates, I did not recieved them on those days but recieved them when I turned off the Wi-Fi and turn on the cellular data. What happened? So after that incident, I have to constantly turn my Wi-Fi and the cellular data on and off to check if I get any important messages. Why is this happening? Is there any way to fix this?

My sister mentioned that putting ithe phone on Airplane Mode consistently can sort of deactivate the cellular data which can block the messages going through. I'm not sure if that's the case...

To put the problem clear, my phone can't recieve messages when it is on Wi-Fi. But when I turn the Wi-Fi off and only the cellular data is in use, all my messages will come through at once.

I didn't have this problem before and I don't know when it started doing this but before I had no problem sending and recieving messages while using Wi-Fi. Any help?
