Q: I cannot sign out of my old phone (apple ID).

I'm trying to sign off iCloud on my old iPhone 5c because I'm selling it to a family member but it will not let me sign out. When I try to turn off Find My iPhone it keeps saying "There was an error connecting you to the Apple ID server". It's been doing this for 2 days now and I cant seem to fix it.

iPhone 5c, iOS 9.2

I would call Apple Support and report the issue. Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support

You need a data connection, either cellular or WiFi.
