You can also try a forced restart by pulling out the power cable for about 30 seconds.

This may be due to the security setup used by your ISP. It's probably designed for mobile devices and not for Apple TV. It's just possible that they don't really intend for you to be able to use ATV, since you could use their STB for TV watching.

May 18, 2016 1:39 PM in response to Zmanorby SP Jon M3,I'm having this issue as well. Though my provider is DirecTV. It seems that about every 2 to 4 weeks I have to re-authenticate apps.
Might be a Cable/Satellite provider issue and not an AppleTV issue. HBO says that some providers require periodic re-authentication:
