Q: Events not overlapping properly/going side by side for 15 minute events

Have been trying to figure out if there is a way to fix this, for ages. Basically, I really like to make events that go for 15 minutes, but whenever I try to add them in, the calendar gets all confused and clunky and does this:

but when i make event 2, 30 minutes long, it works properly?

Even though event 2 has the same end time, and event 3 has the same start time?

is there a way of getting things to slot in properly? I know it sounds kind of superficial, but it makes it hard to read what the events actually are, making Calendar essentially unusable for what I want to do with it (and also it looks ugly)
