Q: Cannot re-download purchase on iPhone

I purchased a song through iTunes and it did not download correctly on my iPhone. This song was clipped at the end (this happened to many of my purchases, somehow). I removed the download from my phone, and also removed it from my music to clear it off the phone. Now, when I go to the "Purchased" tab in the iTunes store, the song is not in the list for "Not on this iPhone". I cannot re-download the song I purchased.

 

I am at work and do not have access to iTunes on the desktop. I should not have to use iTunes on the desktop to listen to the song I paid for.


Apple please fix this.

    Also when I view the song I purchased in the iTunes store it says "Purchased" in gray, with no option to re-download.

    Try resetting the App Store:

    Close the App Store completely from the app switcher window by double clicking the Home button and swiping up the App Store preview pane until it disappears from the screen. You may have to look for the  App Store pane by scrawling to the left.

    Then sign out of the iTunes Store (in Settings).

    Then do a forced restart. Hold down the Home and Wake/Sleep buttons at the same time for about 15-20 seconds until the Apple logo appears.

    Then sign back into the iTunes Store.

    Thanks for the suggestion. I followed the steps you outlined, but the song still does not show up in my purchase history, and it still just says "Purchased" in the iTunes store.

    I would contact iTunes Support since this is a recurring issue: iTunes - Official Apple Support
