There are also third-party translation app that use the Google engine. Just search for "google translate".

I have not seen any translitteration app, no..
Have you tried finding the tool online? If you find any tool that is flash-based you can use the app called "Puffin web browser" It is a flash-compatible browser.

As Google doesn't appear to have a transliteration app, I'm guessing the OP really did mean translate but made, yes, a translation error.

Transliteration is the conversion of a text from one script to another.
For instance, a Latin transliteration of the Greek phrase "Ελληνική Δημοκρατία", usually translated as 'Hellenic Republic', is "Ellēnikḗ Dēmokratía".
