Unable to send e-mail from my account in Mail since upgrading to El Capitan 10.11.4
Preferences show outgoing server offline and am unable to get it online.
Suggestions please.
G5 1.6GHZ, Mac OS X (10.3.x), 1.5 GB RAM
See if a Rebuild helps > Mail (El Capitan): Rebuild mailboxes
Setting up Mail assumes the Incoming and outgoing Servers use some of the same credentials, so if one or the other is not working, it can be difficult to get to the settings that may need fixing.
Mail > Window > Connection Doctor
... will show the status of each server involved, and if any red lights appear, clicking on the red light takes you directly to the settings for that Server.
If this used to work, it my be that the Server is temporarily offline.

IS this for one all account or all accounts?
What specific accounts (what is after the @ sign)?
