Q: Keynote problems

I am trying to make a presentation on my MacBook Pro, OSX El Capitan, v 10.11.4.  Keynote is changing colours of photos I want to put in my presentation.  How do I get the original colours back?

I have also tried it on my iPad mini and have the same problem.

I get this when I import Illustrator files and export to PowerPoint. Try converting your graphics/photos to Jpegs before import.

Issues with colour from imported graphic files in Keynote are usually always caused by a mismatch in the colour profile of the file being imported, to what profile Keynote requires.

For example, the default colour space in Illustrator is CMYK, while Keynote requires RGB, the result is a colour cast.

    To prevent these issues:

1 - When using Keynote, the profile should always be set to Generic RGB in:     Keynote > Preferences > Displays > Colour

2 - When exporting or saving files for use in Keynote from graphic applications (Photoshop / Illustrator etc ) use Generic RGB colour profile

3 - When using existing graphic files for use in Keynote,  change the colour profile of the files to Generic RGB using an appropriate application such as Photoshop / Illustrator

The filetype say JPEG or GIF or EPS has no influence in the colour profile embedded in the file.
