The MacBook is for consumers, and consumers want cheap, they don't want ExpressCard. The MacBook Pro is for prosumers, and it seems Apple thinks the market doesn't demand it right now.
Apple has large teams that do market research and analysis. They keep profitable by making a few products that will suit most of their market. They've determined there isn't a need for them to make such a beast in order to make more profit, so they don't.
The PCMCIA slot seems dead to Apple, so if anything, they'd make it with a ExpressCard/34 one, but realistically, I don't see that happening.
