Q: Will a Subscription to iTunes Match allow me to get the remainder of Albums I already own from iTunes on Mac to Android?
About 2/3 of my iTunes Library on my Mac was purchased through the iTunes Store, about 1/3 of it was ripped from a physical purchase of the album CD or was bought directly from the artists website (like Radiohead's A Moon Shaped Pool from www.amoonshapedpool.com).
Apple Music on Android allows you to put songs on there that you purchased through the iTunes Store directly, but not songs from a third part source (artist or CD). Not being able to have my full library on there along with the Streaming/Offlining capabilities of Apple Music has prevented me from using Apple Music as my music player and committing to a subscription. I have been forced to continue to use the (horrible) google play music app.
I heard that if you have iTunes Match, it will match songs ripped from a CD or bought from the Artist to ones in the store, and add them to your music cloud, as well as upload ones to the cloud it didn't recognize (I have plenty of albums with Custom Artwork or Bonus tracks/Live Tracks not available through the iTunes Store). Would a subscription to iTunes Match as well as Apple Music allow me to download the remainder 1/3 of my library on Mac to Apple Music on my android device? If so that would be well worth the 25$.
