Q: Itunes backup password

Cannot remember (or ever inputting) an Itunes password on my iphone 6plus backup.  Trying to transfer data to a new phone but cant load the backup because asking for password.  Also cannot uncheck "encrypt"

It is not any of my normal passwords, or the phone's unlock code, or 1234 or any of that.  Have read posts that you could still be able to continue to backup your phone.  Very true, except you can never access the bloody backup because of the password.  Which means, even if I were not getting a new phone, I would never be able to backup my phone again?  Don't comment telling me that I could still back it up, because backing it up without ever being able to access the backup is about as useful as bird crap on the road.

How can I backup my iphone 6plus without a pssword?

So how do I fix this?

Unless you can figure out the encryption passcode, you have to do the following:

You can't use an encrypted backup if you don't have the password. If you forgot your password, the only way to turn off backup encryption on your device is to erase your device and set up as new. Erasing removes all data from your device. If you don't want to erase your device, restore from an iCloud backup instead.

Do you, by chance, have automatic iCloud backups set up? Or have you ever backed up to iCloud?

As you have read the article, I won't go over the tips provided again, but you can try as many passwords or combinations of passwords as you can think of without fear of locking anything up.

    Best of luck,
