can i put 24gb of memory in a Macbook Pro Retna 13''?


i currently have been editing 4k video footage and have 8gb of ram and its not fast enough to keep up with playing the video so adobe premiere drops frames left and right. very big hassle


could i put 24gb of ram into my laptop? if so what should i look for?

Because this is a macbook pro with retina display, the RAM cannot be upgraded. You could try running your video off of an external thunderbolt drive, but that even may not be faster. If you need the higher speed, you'll need to buy a newer macbook pro, or a mac pro if portability is optional. A mac pro will be more expendable, even at its staggering price point for high-end models.
