Should I buy $18,000 iPhone 2G?

So, I just recently crossed over something since I want to buy a new iPhone 2G to replace my old dead one that I never really used, it cannot connect to iTunes, or can be used, so I went across this looking to replace my old iPhone 2G (one of them died). So, do you ever recommend me buying somethings that are $18,000 that is old?

I don't know how people buy these, and why are they priced so high? I really needed to do some project that requires iPhone OS 1.0, but my iPhone 2G that just died is my only iPhone on iPhone OS 1.0, all others are on iOS 3.1.3.

Absolutely not. The seller seems to think they have a ancient treasure. Sorry, it's just an old phone that hasn't been used. Yes, it may be valuable to someone as a collector's item (unopended box and all that), but even then, it sure the heck isn't worth $18,000.

MUCH better prices on certified used iPhones here:

Glyd is another good site:

With either vendor, you'll be getting a phone that is guaranteed to work. Unlike Craig's List or eBay where you may be purchasing a stolen phone that's locked, and as such, is useless.
