Will I lose my camera roll when I sync to a new computer?

I have an Iphone 5s that was synced to my laptop with 2500 photos all taken on the phone itself through the form of screenshots, photos taken with the camera app, and photos saved through other apps like Snapchat. There are no photos from the laptop on my phone. That laptop died and I got a new one. I already had my entire 600 song library erased when I tried to sync to the new laptop because all of the songs were stored locally on my old laptop and were imported to my itunes library on that old laptop. I have yet to sync my photos with the new laptop because I am afraid I'm going to lose all of my 2500 photos. All of the photos were synced to my old laptop but the photos were all taken with the phone. So since the photos were taken on the phone and weren't transferred from my old laptop, will I lose them when I sync with my new laptop? The message that pops up when trying to sync says "Photos taken with Cody's Iphone will not be affected." So does that mean all screenshots and photos saved with other apps won't be erased?

iPhone 5s, Windows 10, null

See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

Copy the contents of your camera roll to your computer manually using Windows Explorer and backup your data. iTunes doesn't automatically copy photos out from the camera roll. Photos are included in device backups but you shouldn't rely on being able to recover the images if your device were lost, damaged or stolen since the restoration process can sometimes fail too. The iCloud Control Panel may be able to download some of your photos as you take them but IIRC it is limited to 1,000 images unless you upgrade to iCloud Photo Library.
