    Hello pickleman29,

Sorry to hear about your iMac not showing anything on the display. Let's go over some troubleshooting to get that sorted out.

The first thing I would look at is the article below. It will have a section on troubleshooting the display as well as attempting to reset the SMC. If that does not work, then you next best bet would be to contact Apple Support for further assistance.

    Yup you are hooped.

    I have a late 2013 21.5 inch running 10.11.4.

Screen faded to black and if you shine a light on it you can see the computer is still running.

I called Apple and the got me to try a few things and then came back and said its a hardware issue.  Take it to an apple store.  Yeah right, i already talked to the authorized shop here and they said $800 to fix.

Its really sad that a 1300 dollar computer only lasts 2.5 years.  And then they expect me to give them more money?  Ha!

I was a huge apple supporter but this one has ended that for me.

I am going back to PC

I am selling my apple tv

I am getting rid of all the iphones in the house.  Everything.

What a terrible product. A 1300 dollar computer is now worth 50.  I could maybe get 800 for it if i paid to get it fixed.

2.5 years? Are you f$#*@ing kidding me?
