Q: How do I prevent my child from deleting her imessages?

My preteen is deleting her iMessages from friends, but keeping the ones from me and my fiance. Which has me thinking she's trying to hide stuff.

I tried to restore her deleted messages, but apparently there isn't any way to do that.. I'm hoping there is a way to prevent her from deleting her messages, then? Or is there any type of Parental Controls that is more in depth than the Restrictions under the settings?

iPhone 5c, iOS 9.2.1

    Hi,

I fear there's no way to prevent that she can't delete the messages with Parental Controls or other Apple restrictions, except a good conversation with her

See: Use Restrictions on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

You can google a few articles that may help.  For example, google "How to See Kid's Text Messages on iPhone" and read the first hit (Netsanity).  While the search term is for text messages, the article is specific to iMessage.  I am not sure if the child deleting her iMessages from her device will also delete it from yours (this will make more sense when you read the article).  There is no jailbreaking or apps to install.

Unfortunately, there is no way to restrict from deleting iMessages. But - there are programs that can track iMessages your kids are sending, and you will see them whether they are deleted or not. Just look up "programs that track iMessage" in Google and I believe there should be plenty of options. Hope you can find one that solves your problem!
