Q: Problem Activating a new AppleID with Apple Music on Android

I created a new AppleID via  the web (https://appleid.apple.com/za/)  to use a family subscription to Apple Music on Android. The ID appears complete on the web. When I try to log on to Apple Music on android the application prompts me to verify the information for initial use. I can't get past this screen as it has a mandatory Offer Code field that I cannot complete. Any suggestions?
