Q: Back-up Drives

So i am currently on a PC and am thinking of switching to Mac, but i store all my stuff in a "WD My Passport" External drive and i noticed when I bought it that they also sold one for Mac. So my question is will my external drive be compatible with a Mac if i switch over.

Yes, the Mac will be able to read the drive, however it is most likely formatted as NTFS which the Mac can read but not write, at least not without third party drivers. After copying all of the data to another suitable location you can reformat the drive for use with OS X and copy data to it again.
