Q: iCloud Music Library - not on my iphone 5S and I lost ALL of my music

I recently got an iphone 5S and put all of my personal info on it via iTunes back up. After doing this when I opened the music app on my phone ALL of my 1000+ songs are not there. I have tried looking on my phone for the "iCloud Music Library" tab under settings but it is not there. I do not know what else to do and am not very tech savvy. Any help is appreciated.

    Hello jjkelly5,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

I see from your screenshot that the iCloud Music Library option is missing.  I also see that there are buttons for you to join iTunes Match and Apple Music.  This indicates you don't have either service, or aren't signed in with an Apple ID that has a subscription.  The only time iCloud Music Library will appear in your settings is if you have either subscription to iTunes Match or Apple Music.  You can join Apple Music on your iPhone by following the instructions below.

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

    1. Open the Music app. The first time you open the app after you update, you see a message about starting an Apple Music free trial. If you don't see the message, tap For You at the bottom of the screen.
    2. Tap Start 3-month Free Trial.
    3. Select Individual or Family membership, then tap Next.
    4. If prompted, enter your Apple ID and password that you use with the iTunes Store. If you don't have an Apple ID, tap Create Account.
    5. You might be asked to validate your billing info, but you won't be billed until after the three-month free trial period ends. Add a valid payment method and tap Join.
    6. If prompted, agree to the terms and conditions.
    7. Choose genres and artists that you like.

Join Apple Music on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or PC

    Take care.
