Final cut pro trial fails to install

I am using a macbook air and have never downloaded the trial before.

It downloads onto my computer but then when I try to install it a message telling me that the installer found an error and the program could not be installed and I must contact the manufacturer.

Anyone know how to fix this issue??

Final Cut Pro X requires a Mac with OS X v10.10.4 or later, 4GB of RAM (8GB recommended for 4K editing and 3D titles)

So check to see exactly which OS X is installed on your Mac.

Click your Apple  menu top left in your screen.

From the drop down menu click: About This Mac

You'll see the version there.

Must be OS X v10.10.4 (Yosemite) or later...
