If you have not yet done so, it may help to update your iPhone and Apple Watch to the latest software (some third-party apps cannot be used with earlier versions of the watch's own software).
When updating your devices, start with your iPhone:
Update the iOS software on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
Update the software on your Apple Watch - Apple Support
Also check for and install any available updates for the app that you are trying to open on your watch.

May 12, 2016 5:39 AM in response to ElvisKChingby Jonathan UK,If the app still won't open, first try following Apple's suggested steps, trying to open an affected app after each:
- Place your Apple Watch on its charger, connected to power - and also connect your iPhone to power.
- On your iPhone: open the Music app and start playing any song (through your iPhone speakers is fine).
- On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch (tab) > scroll down and tap on the name of any app that won't open > turn off the setting for Show App on Apple Watch > pause for a few moments > turn it back on.
If that does not resolve the issue, next try unpairing and re-pairing your watch:
- The Watch app on your iPhone takes a backup of your watch automatically when unpairing via the app.
- Choose to Restore from Backup when offered the option during set up. Most data and settings will be restored, with some exceptions (eg Apple Pay cards, passcode).
- Unpair your Apple Watch and iPhone - Apple Support
- Set up your Apple Watch - Apple Support

May 12, 2016 5:43 AM in response to ElvisKChingby Jonathan UK,If the issue still persists, next try the following steps, which have resolve the same problem for others. Try to open an affected app after each:
- On your iPhone, go to: Settings > General > Storage & iCloud Usage > In the Storage section, tap on Manage Storage > Music > Edit (upper-right corner) > delete All Songs.
- Back up your iPhone to iCloud (do not reset your iPhone afterwards, just make the backup):
- Next back up (but do not Sync) your iPhone to iTunes, selecting the option to "Encrypt iPhone backup" (again, do not reset your iPhone afterwards, just make the backup):
- Try opening an affected app again.
- Music can be added back to your iPhone again after trying these steps.
If none of these suggestions works - or if the issue later recurs - contact Apple Support or make a Genius Bar reservation for further assistance:
