Q: Still bugs in QuickTime Export v. 6.6.2

When using animated (2D) charts in Keynote 6.6.2 and letting them build up e.g. per series, the legend display erratically. Sometimes it appears but vanishes again, sometimes it doesn't appear at all. I get a casual movie looking right (as presented), but very often it fails to be visually the same as what my 'live' presentation would look like (building up correctly).

This bug has been in the recent versions of Keynote (not in 5.x versions), and I had good hopes as I tested the recent 6.6.2 update – it initially seemed to work correctly ! But the next test I did went wrong again. And it occurs on all kinds of configurations, both iMacs and MacBooks.

I have test files and movies available.

Apple leadership and product teams do not participate in these support communities. It is strictly a user to user solution sharing community. Use the following menu hierarchy from Keynote v6.6.2 to send feedback directly to the Keynote product team:

I have never heard of anyone having problems with chart animations or with the legend, either playing in Keynote or exported to QT.

I would first check if you have installed any of this type of software which are known to interfere with video based applications:

    • so called cleaning software; clean my mac or memory cleaner or similar
    • airplay or screen recycler or other display software
    • any form of malware or antivirus

if you have any of these items, remove them, restart the Mac and test keynote again with a new presentation.

Next, down load install and paste the report generated from Etrecheck in a reply to this post, for full information see this website:    www.etrecheck.com

Im happy to test a sample Keynote or QT file that you have showing this issue.
