Q: Need help restoring recycled Iphone with no passcode

Good Morning, I received a recycled Iphone locked out no password need help. downloaded Itunes followed directions nothing and i have no cell company yet need help. J.

You need a SIM card to activate the phone
IF the phone is carrier locked - then it needs to be a card from that carrier
IF carrier unlocked - any SIM card will do

it does not need to be a new SIM card

Thanks for replying, the phone will work until you get to the pass code and Id part.

Then it's a brick. You can't use it. There is no way to bypass the activation lock.
