Safari's "Reader Mode" icon appears on one page of a particular website but not another page of the same website. Is there something a web developer can do to look into why this is happening?

Pages with little text won't trigger the reader mode.
Add some text to the page, refresh and you'll see the reader mode icon appear.

You may have better luck using Reader View using the Firefox browser

As a web developer, I would like to know the answer to this as well. None of the replies so far qualify as helpful and there needs to be a "down-vote" feature to accommodate how unhelpful they truly are.
Also, this shouldn't be that hard to address… Apple. Talkin' 'bout YOU.

Normal users can turn sites that don't support Reader View into text-only pages with services like https://www.textise.net/
For whatever reason. not all websites support the Reader view. Most likely because they don't want you to miss their advertisements.
Why isn't Reader Mode available on all webpages?
