May 12, 2016 4:54 PM in response to txmom2jamiby stedman1,Because there is no Suppported protocol to do so. For what purpose were you attempting to pair?

May 12, 2016 5:37 PM in response to stedman1by txmom2jami,Actually, it allows for all the steps - even as far as providing a number to enter to complete the pairing, but before I can do so, I get the error message. I recorded an interview using "Voice Memos" which ran long (almost two hours). I wanted to back it up to my computer, but the file is too large to send via email or message, and no other options are provided. I hoped I could link between my computer and phone and open the file that way.

May 12, 2016 5:49 PM in response to txmom2jamiby ckuan,You don't pair, but sync.
Connect iPhone to your computer iTunes using the supplied dock cable.

May 12, 2016 5:58 PM in response to ckuanby txmom2jami,The problem I'm having with that suggestion is I tried it earlier and it does not show the voice recording that I'm desperately trying to protect. All my songs show up, and even when I click on "Voice Memos" in the things to sync, they don't show up. So I'm worried that syncing my phone will erase the interview. I don't know why they have to make things so convoluted. I just want to save the stupid recording to my computer.

May 12, 2016 6:18 PM in response to ckuanby txmom2jami,Yes, it should be, but it's not. Right now I'm trying to figure out a way to import it to Evernote, since I can't find a Mac solution. Thanks anyway.

May 12, 2016 6:24 PM in response to ckuanby txmom2jami,Finally! I got it shared to Evernote and from there was able to download a copy of the file to my computer. I guess persistence pays off.
