Q: Iphoto on Storage expansion card, cannot find where new photos from iPhone download to

I am currently running iPhoto 9.5.1 on my Mac Book pro with Retina OS X 10.9.5. I recently relocated my iPhoto library to a Transcent 128 GB JetDrive storage expansion card  TS128GJDL330. I thought all was well doing this so I could basically expand my memory in an inexpensive way. However, now when I connect my iPhone to download pics, I cannot find where they go. they are not in my iPhoto library (that I can see). However, I know they're downloaded because they show up under "Last Import" However, there are non of those photos "events" nor the pictures under "photos".  Where are the photos from my iPhone being downloaded to?How do I get these photos to show up in iPhoto? Thank you!

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)

iPhoto is a database and last import is an album not a location - anything that is in last import is in the iPhoto database

Right click on one and show event to see what event they are in
