Q: Apple music constantly pausing bug

I am using apple music although I am a Samsung user because I have a family plan and the app is having issues.  When not connected to a wifi connection or streaming data my downloaded music constantly pauses and crashes.  I figured this could be an issue with playback cache or something which i have switched to the maximum amount and I will see how this works.  This however i think is unacceptable considering I am paying for this service that causes me more issues than good.  I hope someone gets back to me on this and helps fix this issue as it is incredibly annoying.  It would only take a few codes to fix this issue and apple's lack of support for devices that are not their own also continues to bother me (greedy company tactics).

Just curious—are the songs that stop playing ones that you downloaded from the Apple Music catalog or are they songs that you previously owned that were uploaded to your Apple Music cloud library?

Is your music stored on the Samsung's internal storage or on an SD card? Also which version on Android is your Samsung running?

I purchased an android phone recently and the first thing I did was install apple music and immediately ran into this problem, which was pretty frustrating to say the least. What really grinds my gears is I found a relatively "easy" solution, but one that apple support seems to be completely oblivious to. This works on android 6.0 (marshmallow), not sure if it works on another OS.

First, make sure that the battery saver option is turned OFF. Next, and most importantly, under the Battery Optimization option, make sure that Apple Music is set to NOT OPTIMIZED. I did these two things and its been working out for me. This is clearly a terrible solution (since your phone is going to consume a lot of power now) but its the only one I've found so far that works.
