Q: Keynote for Mac - Trying to create continuous score for multiple slides, multiple times during a presentation

Hi,

I'm a relatively new Keynote user and am completely stuck trying to figure out how to do a key element of my presentation.

Basically, I want to have an audio soundtrack score, say, three slides, end. Then have a silent, un-sountracked slide or two, and then start up another scored section in which a new audio track plays behind multiple slides.

There must be away to do this but I'm completely stuck!

Keynote is unable to play a sound file across a group of slides.

    However the workaround is:

    1. drag and drop the sound file on to a new slide
    2. select the sound file on the slide and go to  Inspector >Format > Audio and deselect the option Start Audio on Click
    3. add all the remaining content that is to sync with the sound file,  on to the same slide,  (photos, shapes, graphs)
    4. if you want the visual objects to play automatically:
select all the objects;   Inspector > Animate > Build In > Add an Effect:

Oh! I think this is going to work.  One other question: I am (in this case) trying to launch a short video clip at a designated time after the start of the music. So, I've done what you outlined, added the music and movie clip to the same slide, but I can only figure out how to play them in sequential order.
