If you do not remember your password then you cannot use that backup.
Sorry
So unfair.. Apple sh provide some solutions to this !
Unfair? Seriously? The backup is encrypted. If you could bypass the password, then the security provided by encrypting it would be absolutely worthless!
I Agree .. But what's the point when we cannot recover it
every security has backups And recovery options , which can be 100% secure to
The point is that the encrypted data is useless to anyone without the encryption key (password). If it's recoverable it is NOT SECURE. Write down the password and keep it in a safe place if you can't remember it.

That is 100% false. If encrypted data is 'recoverable' without the key, then it's not 'encrypted'. It is NOT secure.

No, it isn't unfair, nor should Apple provide a means of getting around it. File encryption with an easily accessed back door isn't encryption. Its a waste of time. It is up to you to remember passwords. Nothing Apple, or anyone here, can don to fix that.
NO one is prepared to forget .. if someone one forgets it ! It doesn't mean he should bot be allowed to recovrr it

Yeah, actually it does.

That's the entire point of an encrypted backup; without the proper password, the data is not accessible.
Your failure to understand the purpose of the feature does not make the feature 'unfair' or 'pointless'.
I recommend that you never enable two-step verification for your Apple ID, by the way. That's another feature that could end up with you permanently locked out of something.
well thank you guys .. well in such case all I can say is RIP my mobile data i could not recover u ⌨

Back up your data next time. You can't recover what you never back up.
lol ... That was funny ! If I never had saved backup where did the password option FLY IN !! My concern was about recover password From saved Backup , Hope u Read ..
So in my scenario, I know my backup password. It's the same one I used to log into this account. Yet iTunes insists the password is incorrect despite my having used the exact same password to do a previous recovery. At this point, I don't care about the encrypted backup. I don't need it. What I need is for iTunes to create a NEW encrypted backup file with MY password. How do I tell iTunes to screw the old backup and create a new one with a new password?
