Q: HP Laserjet 400 M451DW just drops offline for iMAC

I have an iMac 27 running the latest OSX. My HP Laserjet M451DW is a wireless printer. I can print to it and then try to print a minute later and it shows offline. Sometimes if I reboot the Mac, it works, other times it doesn't. Sometimes if I open the printer utility, it will reconnect, other times it wont. My Macbook and Macbook Air, never drop it so I am concluding the problem is on the iMac, not the printer. I believe I have the latest drivers from HP

Hey levinja,

I understand that you are having an issue with accessing the printer through your iMac. It doesn't seem to have a consistent connection. I would suggest looking over the articles below for some general troubleshooting for printer issues. It may be beneficial to remove the printer all together and then add it back in.
