May 13, 2016 6:44 AM in response to William Tomcaninby William Tomcanin,Just attempted to access mail directly from the iCloud web page.
I can successfully login, but when I attempt to access mail, I get the spinning wheel -- can't access mail via the web page either.

May 13, 2016 6:53 AM in response to William Tomcaninby bfmfromdeerfield,I am having the exact same problem -- on iMac, 2 iPhones, iPad --- and also the problem exists when iCloud is accessed via the web, Mail and Calendar do not work on the web, but Notes and Contacts seem to be fine.
Has Apple put out any info on this problem with the "server"?

May 13, 2016 7:27 AM in response to Russ Hby LucyMess,I have the same issue - what I don't understand is that I can send from my iCloud email account, just not receive anything.
Is this a normal sign that iCloud is down when I run a basic connection diagnostic on my mail server?
*Please note I'm not particularly technical so please go gently with any answers or help you can offer!!

May 13, 2016 7:35 AM in response to LucyMessby William Tomcanin,The status page indicates that only a small percentage of users are affected (.86%). I wonder is this has something to do with the specific server to which our accounts have been assigned?

May 13, 2016 7:41 AM in response to William Tomcaninby LucyMess,Maybe... I realise it might be a slightly unrealistic ask, but would be nice if the support page could give a little bit more info than what they are currently showing. I've spent most of my afternoon looking at troubleshooting pages instead of working, thinking it was something to do with my account.
Question - my current apple ID is with my @yahoo.co.uk address - would you recommend me changing it to my @icloud.com address or does it not make any difference? And if I should change it, what is the impact/what do I need to change and where? Anything Apple related - iTunes, Apple Music, phone, etc?

May 13, 2016 7:52 AM in response to LucyMessby Russ H,Hi Lucy.
I suspect your account has something else going on than the server issue – or you wouldn't be able to send either. Check whether you can get mail online. Also, suggest trying the steps listed here.

May 13, 2016 8:09 AM in response to LucyMessby Tom Kramer,Lucy,
A lot of people are having the same issue. It's Apple's problem, hopefully fixed soon. Changing your apple I.D. won't help and if you do you'll have to change it on all of your devices, applications etc. A real PITA!

May 13, 2016 9:03 AM in response to William Tomcaninby Birgit Rhoads,iCloud Mail stopped service for me at 8a.m. And I use this email for my business. Not a happy camper. Perhaps Apple Mail is not as reliable as it used to be....when I have time I may change all my business emails to Google Mail. Hope the server is fixed soon.

May 13, 2016 9:05 AM in response to Birgit Rhoadsby Csound1,I assume you imagine that Google never has outages, prepare to be disappointed.

May 13, 2016 9:54 AM in response to Csound1by Birgit Rhoads,I am not aware of that. My Google service has never been down, with two accounts. Hmmm. I do believe my iCloud Mail is back in service. Yay!
