Thanks. You are correct. I had to go to an Apple store to find this out, however.
It is back up now for me after affecting about 1% of the users for about 4 hours.
No problem. I actually came here for the same reason, so I guess we're both part of the supposed 0.86% of users who were affected. If you bookmark that system status page (or barring that, just Google "Apple server status"), it might save you a trip to the Apple Store in the future. 🙂
