Mac book pro (13-inch, 2006-2010) blue screen loop on boot

IM new to the whole macs laptop thing and my dad gave me one for a birthday present and worked for a few days. I went to go on it one day and i tuned it on and all i got was a blue screen loop wont boot in verbose or safe mode or recovery or internet. recovery i can get the command line up (cmd and s on boot ) and done fsck -fy to check my system and all seems ok my apple friendly friend has suggested its a corrupt os or hd is on its last legs hence the boot issue. Im wondering if theres a fix ( permanent or temporary) until my new hd and os disc arrives. Any help will be greatly appreciated

If your MBP is a 2006 model, it will be limited to Snow Leopard OSX (10.6.8) and Internet recovery will not be an option. You should be getting Tiger disks, the original OSX (10.4) but I highly recommend that you purchase the following Snow Leopard retail disk:

http://www.apple.com/shop/product/MC573Z/A/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard

When you have Snow Leopard installed, then run the combo update:

https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399?locale=en_US

That will give you the latest (and most efficient) OSX that your MBP can run.

There is nothing more you can do until you have the installation disks.

Ciao.
